More Pumpkins!

Wow, what a week!  I haven't been able to do any card making since week before last.  First I was sick and didn't have the energy to design, then I fell on my elbow at work.  :~(  It's not broken, just a contusion, but any movement is painful.  I suffered through making one card today although I probably shouldn't have, but I was starting to go crazy!
I recently won a set by Lawn Fawn called "Harvest Season" and I have been itching to use it.  It was perfect for this challenge!

The plaid background paper is actually a wallpaper sample!  I put two large grommets in the scalloped border and tied a piece of trim that was a matching color.  It will soon be time to mail out Thanksgiving cards, where has this year gone?
The challenge from Designed2Delight was to use pumpkins.

Pumpkins!

It's that time of year, the pumpkins are ripe and ready to be picked!  What will you make with yours?  I see some pies in my future and maybe my hubby will make pumpkin cheesecake.

Today's card features a digi from Mabelle RO.  Check out her designs, they are wonderful.  I printed the digi out on my printer then colored it using my new CTMH watercolor pencils.  I love using water color pencils, they make blending so easy!  The sentiment is from TAC, I don't know the set because it came in a brown bag special.

Twins, twins!

The Challenge:  Sharing: use 2 of everything you use. (ie: 2 Dp - 2 flowers - 2 stamps - whatever you use must be doubled)

Ok, I've got this one!

Those adorable babies are from the TAC set "Twins", as is the second little bear.  Two babies, two bears, matted with two mats, on a background of two papers.  Two pairs of red gems from Studio G.  And a fussy cut strip of paper with "Merry Christmas" twice in two different colors!  I only used one ink- Palette Noir and I colored the image with water color pencils and a Tombow marker.

Check out the other cards in the challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ and leave everyone two comments...... haha just kidding!  But leave them some love.

For You, Dear Friend

I Love hopping!  Hop along on this multi-hop post!

A salute to desserts and to Mabelle RO:

The kitty is from Mabelle RO's "Cupcake Cuties" and the sentiment is from Mabelle RO's "Dear Friend".  Both sets are from TAC.  Pallette Noir ink was used and for the icing- Stickles and Studio G glitter glue.

Pumpkin Pie!

Stampin' Sisters in Christ's challenge this week was to create a card with fruit, and pumpkin is a fruit.  I used TAC's pumpkin from "Autumn Leaves" the sentiment is also TAC but I don't know the name of the set.  Always Artichoke from SU was the ink of choice and Tombow markers were used to color the image.

Check out the other cards made for this challenge on Stampin' Sisters in Christ's blog!

Smiles for Julie

This week's CAS-ual Friday's challenge is a special one.  It is to help a fellow crafter get back her smile.  To read her story go to their blog, and if you can put a couple dollars in the coffer for her.
Our challenge this week is to design a card about smiles, here is my card:

The little froggy king is from TAC's "Frogs and Kisses"  and "'S' is for Smile" was a gwp.  I used SU's markers to color the image and sentiment, with a little copic for his belly.  His crown is colored with silver stickles and adorned with pink gems from Studio G.  Lace flowers and googly eyes add the finishing touches.
Be sure to visit CAS-ual Fridays and leave some love in their comments and a little green in their pot.

Autumn Leaves

I tried a new technique today.  After pouncing a multitude of fall colors on a piece of cardstock, I used SU's "Fine Lace" with embossing ink.  Then I heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  Finally, I rubbed black ink over the whole thing and wiped it off the embossed areas.  This gave the paper a somewhat snakeskin type texture and some glisten.  It also made it a little challenging to punch out the large and small leaves.  The sentiment is from TAC's "Be Still" and mounted on the prepared cardstock.

I am linking to For Fun Challenges, be sure to check out the other entries!

When Pigs Fly!

This week's challenge from Cardpatterns using this sketch:

And here's my card-
This little piggy was stamped using pallette noir ink with TAC's "Hoggs and Kisses" and "When Pigs Fly", and I used Studio G sparkles.  The cute flowers are brads and came in a box of doo-dads from a dollar store, they were perfect for this card!  Check out the other cards in the hop- they are pretty cool.
