Anniversary Celebration
For Fun Challenges issued a fun challenge this week- to create an Anniversary card without using a cake or bells. This card could be for a wedding or anniversary. I tried to remember a card I had made at a card event some time ago, I know it had hearts that were made to look like bride and groom clothing. Although I can't remember exactly how the card was done, I think this one will do. I gave the original to my niece and her new husband this last summer. I hand cut the two hearts, slicing the darker one to create lapels. Another piece of cardstock was added to make the shirt, a bow tie, and pearls colored with a black marker for buttons. The pink heart was sent through my texture boutique, lace added to the top, and more pearl buttons. The sentiment is a wood mounted stamp with no brand name- probably from a dollar store. Be sure to check out the other creations submitted to this challenge.
I love cards with scripture!
When we are worried about all the troubles and concerns of this world we need to take a moment and consider that God knows all about what is troubling us and is in control of all things. Go to Christian Paper Crafts Creative blog to read more about why we need not worry and can give all our cares to our Lord. While you are there check out the projects made by some talented creative people.
This card is for the Christian Paper Crafts challenge to make a project on the theme of not worrying.
Yesterday I made a project with some yummy red textured cardstock that I found in my stash. I had some pieces left over and couldn't resist using them for these two cards. Yes, both cards use the same red, but the second photo is closer to the actual color. For the first card I used a sentiment from TAC's "Be Still", some fabric flowers, and some lace.
This next card is for Our Daily Bread designs blog and the challenge was to create a card using a song, scripture, or quote. I used stamps from TAC's "Singing Praises" and SU's "Fast and Fabulous". Be sure to check out the other projects on this blog, they will make you smile.
More challenges
This card is for the following hops and challenges:
This one is very homespun. I used TAC's Dotty Flowers and Happy Leaf stamps. The flowers were cut out by hand and mounted on pop dots with buttons and very narrow ribbon. I used nearly every blue ink in my stash, ribbons, lace, and rick rack. Here is the sketch I used from Cardpatterns:
Stampin' Sister's challenge was to use the word "blessing"
CAS-ual Friday's challenge was to use at least 3 shades of the same color and brown.
Be sure to check out the other cards in these challenges, they are created by some wonderfully talented people!
